Came across this briefing paper, it will be interesting to see how tech leaders, including Government work together to ensure that New Zealand is prepare for future. Takeaway for me is what opportunities are there in health for automation and what impact will tis have on today’s workforce?
An interesting contribution but very general. The world is 30 years into the digital revolution. Some opportunities have been realised very effectively - eg the financial services, travel, and distribution sectors have completely re-designed their customer interfaces. But other opportunities are going wanting - eg modernising the shopfront of the health sector, and location-independent working including regional development. Its time to move on from generalisations, identify the laggards, and ask ourselves why they have failed thus far and what should be done to bring them up to speed.
