Automated Dispensing Cabinets (ADCs) - presentations today

The New Dunedin Hospital is planning to introduce Automated Dispensing Cabinets (ADC’s) for medications. The benifits of these can include improving patient and staff safety. When linked to an integrated electronic medicines management system they may also lead to workflow efficiencies.

While some hospitals in New Zealand have examples of these ADCs already in use, many do not. To help us better understand what is currently available in the market, the New Dunedin Hospital project team has requested the Procurement & Supply Chain to sed up vendor presentations on ADCs.

While initially requested by the New Dunedin Hospital team, these presentations may be of interest to others around the motu and are open to all interested parties under the Te Whatu Ora umbrella.

I believe they are being recorded so if you can’t attend today, there will be the opportunity to review later.

These presentations are not part of a tender process at this point but are to provide general information on what current capabilities exist in the market.

All presentations are on Tues 30 Jan and are on Microsoft Teams
