Hi all. We are apparently looking at attendant management systems and I need some DHSb contacts as to what everyone is using. Help?
Hi Ruth,
Is this for the ED? Or is it a wider hospital PMS?
In South Island, we are migrating to South Island PICS from Orion (for a South Island-wide Patient Management System). I think NMDHB and CDHB on-boarded so far.
We have deployed a version of EDaaG from NMDHB to manage our ED. Plans ongoing for a South - Island-wide ED clinical platform…
What are attendant management systems?
Otherwise known as orderlies
task management…
What’s EDaaG? It’s a bit annoying I have to use 20 characters…, I am a woman of few words ![]()
ED at a glance is what EDaaG stands for. One of my Masters students did a study on it if you want to see his thesis.

Well in that case, we use smartpage
Yes please Karen that would be fab
So that’s for all paging yes?
Separate version specifically for orderlies
Hi @Ruth_Large
We use the CARPS task management system I believe. I haven’t been closely involved in it but it seems to work well. Orderlies carry smart devices and pick up jobs from that.
Let me know if you want to find out more about it and I can put you onto someone who knows the details.
Yes please @KarenDay that would be great
We are using Service Now Classic built on top of our P&C portal (called Max) so the orderlies have mobile alerts when they get new tasks, some assigned by GPS of thier location etc. EDaag - is our ED at a glance system for managing patients through ED, current ward rounds in progress etc. Tasks for staff might get popped up here for ED staff, but its a separate system I believe to Service now which has desktop and mobile ordering capability.
