Apologies - I made an error which resulted in the last 6 posts of the Emerging Health Technology forum being exposed more widely than intended.

These posts (3 by @jon_herries, 1 by @matthew.strother, 1 by @Rochelle_Style, and one by myself) were inadvertently sent as emails to around 1500 members of the Digital Health Networks, which hosts the Clinical Informatics Leadership Network (CiLN) These are people who work in informatics, mostly based in the UK, and bound by the Chatham House Rule and a strong culture of data privacy. It has been followed up by an apology and explanation targeting just these people.

This occurred in the context of exploring ways of linking up our NZ based informatics forums, as several members of CiLN have enquired as to the feasibility of having a single platform for our forums in order to make our conversations as efficient as possible.

Thanks for letting us know Nathan, I appreciate your honesty and openness. I personally don’t have a problem with this (closed group to closed group). Sometimes we need to try things - and as long as we learn something from this I am happy to have been a part of this experiment

It does highlight the data sharing difficulties we have in the health system - and in general in life (eg. between google, facebook and twitter).

Thanks Nathan for letting me know and, like Jon, appreciate your honesty and transparency. There was nothing in my post which I am uncomfortable with having gone to a wider audience.
